About DVARP() Function

The DVARP() function is a database function that calculates the variance entire population of selected database entries. It keeps 3 arguments.

Where to apply :

The DVARP() function is applied to know the variance in entire population. This helps to control the variance of population.

Syntax :

=DVARP(range, field, criteria)

Parameters :

range - It indicates a range, table or a database.

field - It is a column of database that keeps numeric values.

criteria - This argument keeps a condition or group of conditions.

Example :

Let's take a table that shows billing on daily basis.

To know the variance in the amounts of Monday, you can use below function.


=DVARP(Table8[#All],"Billing",C19:C20)   // Returns (50.8888)

It returns 50.8888.
